  23.   1) WINDOWS 95 INSTALLATION.
  24. --------------------------------------------------

  26.         The Wildlife Forever startup program should automatically begin  
  27.         when the Wildlife Forever disc is inserted into the CD-ROM drive.
  28.         It may take a moment for the startup screen to appear, depending on
  29.         your computer system.  From the startup screen, just click on the 
  30.         "Start Wildlife Forever" button.  The program will take a moment to
  31.         start.
  32.

  34.         NOTE:   The Wildlife Forever program requires the Video For
  35.                 Windows(tm) drivers to operate correctly.  If a problem is
  36.                 encountered when playing video, you will be prompted to
  37.                 install or re-install the Video For Windows(tm) drivers.

  39. If the program does not automatically start you can run the install
  40. program by following these directions:
  41.  
  42.         a)      Click on START at the bottom left corner of the 
  43.                 Windows 95 screen.
  44.                 
  45.         b)      Click on RUN.
  46.  
  47.         c)      Click on BROWSE.
  48.  
  49.         d)      Select the drive letter you suspect might be the CD-ROM
  50.                 drive in the drives portion of the browse window.  If 
  51.                 you selected the correct drive letter, the INSTALL.EXE
  52.                 file will show up in a box on the left side of the
  53.                 window.  
  54.                         
  55.         e)      Click on INSTALL.EXE.
  56.  
  57.         f)      Click OK.

  59.         g)      Click Ok again.
  60.  
  61.         h)      The installation program will create a program group and
  62.                 the Wildlife Forever program icon.

  64.         i)      You will then be prompted to install Video For Windows(tm)
  65.                 on your system.  Proceed with the installation unless you
  66.                 are sure you already have it installed.  Once the Video
  67.                 for Windows(tm) drivers have been installed, you will be
  68.                 prompted to restart the system.  Click on RESTART NOW.

  70.         j)      Once Windows 95 restarts, the Wildlife Forever startup
  71.                 screen will appear.  Click on the "Start Wildlife Forever"
  72.                 button.  The program will take a moment to start.

  76.         NOTE:   There is a known problem when running Video For Windows in
  77.                 Windows 95 with a Genoa Hornet 24-bit video card, but only
  78.                 when operating in 64K color mode.  Other video display
  79.                 cards may have similar conflicts.  If you are having problems
  80.                 running Wildlife Forever, try changing the color depth to a
  81.                 different setting.

  87.   2) ENHANCING VIDEO PLAYBACK QUALITY

  90.         If your video card supports more than 256 colors, you may want to
  91.         take advantage of the improved video quality obtained by higher color
  92.         depths.  Try changing your screen mode to 32K, 64K, or 16.8 million 
  93.         colors.  The video in the Wildlife Forever program will look
  94.         significantly better in these higher color modes.  Consult your
  95.         manual or computer dealer for information on changing color modes on
  96.         your system.

  101.   3)    KNOWN HARDWARE/OS PROBLEMS
  102. ------------------------------------------------

  104.         VIDEO CONTROLS: On some older video cards, you may experience
  105.                         problems with the fast forward and rewind video
  106.                         controls.  If you experience slow responses to these
  107.                         controls, you may be better off not using them.  The
  108.                         remaining video controls seem to pose no problem.
  109.  
  110.         WINDOWS 95:     There is a known problem when running Video For 
  111.                         Windows in Windows 95 with a Genoa Hornet 24-bit 
  112.                         video card, but only when operating in 64K color 
  113.                         mode.  Other video display cards may have similar 
  114.                         conflicts.  If you are having problems running 
  115.                         Wildlife Forever, try changing the color depth to a
  116.                         different setting.
